El cuarteto hispano-británico afincado en Londres visita Madrid por primera vez, tras el lanzamiento de su primer disco homónimo en 2021. Wide Valley y The Flamingos Bite serán las bandas invitadas, que presentarán sus respectivos LPs, ‘Blurry Times’ (2021) y ‘Big Little Town’ (2022). Será una noche muy especial, ya que estas tres bandas están hermanadas de una manera u otra.
El sonido de REME ha sido comparado con el de clásicos como Wings, Harrison, T-Rex o Elton John y contemporáneos como Foxygen, The Lemon Twigs o los más recientes Arctic Monkeys. Su álbum debut fue grabado entre Londres y Madrid, con la producción de Manuel Cabezalí y Víctor Cabezuelo y la técnica de Dany Richter e Iain Berryman.
Este primer trabajo de la banda formada por Daniel Ruiz (voz, guitarra, teclados), Iñaki González (batería), Albert Cabot (teclados) y Sam Barltrop (bajo), tuvo buena acogida en medios, con entrevistas en Ruta 66, Musicazul, Ecos del Vinilo, Free Rockin, Rock Bottom o La Gramola de Keith. Además, el single de adelanto, Royal Cape, fue incluido en recopilatorio de mejores canciones de 2020 por varios programas de Radio3.
Wide Valley,que publicó ‘Blurry Times’ el pasado verano, vuelve a las salas madrileñas para presentar los temas de su primer álbum junto con alguna sorpresa nueva. La banda, formada por Juanjo González(voz y guitarras), Rick Costa (batería), St Woods (teclados y coros),Owl C (bajo), y Manu Fernández (guitarra solista), grabaron ‘Blurry Times’ a las órdenes de Brian Hunt en El Invernadero (Madrid).
Un disco repleto de densas capas de guitarras que crean atmósferas de carretera y evocan escenas con fuerte carga simbólica. Sus letras y melodías adictivas reflejan el apego a aquellos lugares que marcaron toda una infancia, el desarraigo provocado por épocas pasadas que nunca volverán, y el miedo a entrar en la edad adulta. Las composiciones de Wide Valley pueden encajar dentro del sonido alt-folk contemporáneo de bandas como The War On Drugs, Kevin Morby, Kurt Vile y Wilco.
The Flamingos Bite es un cuarteto madrileño con una propuesta musical única en España. Influenciados por el rock, la americana, el power pop o el folk que se hace en Estados Unidos, la banda formada por David Aldave, Carlos Gómez, Guille Molina y Carlos Santos, crea un estilo genuino y novedoso que consigue atraer la atención de medios de comunicación especializados (Radio3, Ruta66) y artistas consagrados del panorama nacional e internacional como Carolina de Juan (Morgan) o Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, R.E.M, Big Star).
